Cube Minion Rush Review & Gameplay Guide

I just spent the last few hours playing Cube Minion Rush and I have to say, it's been a wild ride. At first, I was a bit skeptical about the game, I mean, it's not every day you see a game that combines endless running with cube-shaped characters. But, I decided to give it a shot and I'm glad I did. The gameplay is actually pretty addictive, you control your little cube minion as it runs through a procedurally generated world, collecting coins and power-ups while avoiding obstacles.

One of the things that I really enjoyed about Cube Minion Rush is the simplicity of the controls. You only need to tap the screen to jump and swipe to change lanes, which makes it easy to pick up and play. The game also has a lot of variety in terms of the different environments you can run through, from lush forests to ancient temples, each with their own unique obstacles and challenges. The graphics are also pretty nice, the cube characters are cute and the worlds are colorful and well-designed.

But, as much as I enjoyed playing Cube Minion Rush, there are a few things that started to get on my nerves after a while. For one, the game can get pretty repetitive, you're essentially doing the same thing over and over again, running and collecting coins. Don't get me wrong, it's fun at first, but after a few hours, it starts to feel a bit grindy. Also, the game has a lot of ads, like, a lot. Every time you die, you get an ad, and it can get pretty frustrating. I know that ads are a necessary evil in free-to-play games, but it feels like the developers could have found a better balance.

Another thing that I didn't like about Cube Minion Rush is the lack of depth in the game's systems. I mean, there's no real progression system, you're not unlocking new characters or abilities, you're just running and collecting coins. It feels like the game is missing a layer of complexity that would have made it more engaging in the long run. That being said, I do appreciate the fact that the game has daily challenges and leaderboards, which adds a bit of replay value and competition to the game.

Despite its flaws, I would still recommend Cube Minion Rush to fans of endless runners. It's a fun, casual game that's great for playing in short bursts. The game's charming graphics and simple controls make it easy to pick up and play, and the daily challenges and leaderboards add a bit of depth to the game. Just be prepared for a lot of ads and a bit of repetition. Overall, I'd say that Cube Minion Rush is a solid, if not spectacular, addition to the endless runner genre.

Overall, I'd give Cube Minion Rush 3 out of 5 stars. It's a fun, but flawed game that could have benefited from a bit more depth and complexity. That being said, it's still a great option for fans of endless runners who are looking for a new game to play. Just don't expect it to keep you engaged for hours on end, it's more of a game that you'll play in short bursts, and that's okay. It's a great way to kill some time, and it's free, so you can't really go wrong.
