I've got to say, I was pretty stoked to dive into Defense Base 2 after hearing some solid recommendations from friends. I mean, who doesn't love a good tower defense game, right? That being said, I do have some gripes with Defense Base 2. For one, the difficulty curve feels a bit wonky. Some levels are a total cakewalk, while others seem almost impossible without some serious grinding and upgrades. I'm all for a challenge, but it's frustrating when it feels like the game is just throwing cheap shots at you. I've also noticed that the enemy AI can be a bit too predictable at times, which takes away from the excitement of fending off those waves. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's something I hope they'll address in future updates.

One thing that's definitely improved is the level variety. I love how they've mixed things up with different terrain types, from lush forests to dusty deserts, each with their own unique challenges and opportunities. If I'm being totally honest, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of innovation in Defense Base 2. Don't get me wrong, it's still a great game, but it feels more like an iteration on the original rather than a full-fledged sequel. I was hoping for some more radical changes or new features, but instead, it's more of the same with some tweaks here and there. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's something to consider if you're already familiar with the first game.

Overall, Defense Base 2 is still a solid choice for fans of tower defense games. While it may not revolutionize the genre, it's a fun, challenging, and addictive experience that's sure to provide hours of entertainment. If you're new to the series, I'd definitely recommend starting with the original to see if it's your cup of tea, but if you're already a fan, you'll likely find plenty to enjoy in the sequel. Just be prepared for some minor frustrations and a sense of familiarity - and you'll be golden.
