Finding Redpanda Review & Gameplay Guide

I just finished playing Finding Redpanda and I'm still trying to process my thoughts about the whole experience. I went into it with pretty high expectations, I mean who doesn't love a good puzzle adventure game, right? The concept sounded super interesting, you're this little red panda trying to find its way through a bunch of mazes and solve puzzles to reach the end goal. It sounded cute and challenging, which is usually a winning combination for me.

At first, I was really enjoying it, the graphics are adorable and the music is catchy, it's got that whole whimsical feel to it that I love in a game. But as I got further in, I started to feel like something was missing. The puzzles, while they were challenging, didn't really feel that rewarding to solve. I mean, I'd spend like 10 minutes trying to figure out how to get to the next door, and then when I finally did, it was just like, okay, now I'm in the next room. There wasn't really that sense of accomplishment that I'm used to feeling in puzzle games.

I also felt like the game was a bit too repetitive, I mean, how many times can you solve the same type of puzzle before it gets boring? I get that the game is trying to teach you new skills and build on the old ones, but it just felt like the same thing over and over again. And don't even get me started on the controls, sometimes they felt really unresponsive, like I'd be trying to jump and the little red panda would just stick to the ground. It was frustrating, to say the least.

One thing that I did like about the game was the story, it's not super complex or anything, but it's cute and it's got a lot of heart. You can tell that the developers really cared about the world they were creating and the characters in it. The little red panda is so adorable, and the other characters you meet along the way are all unique and interesting in their own way. I just wish that the story was a bit more prominent, sometimes it felt like it was taking a backseat to the puzzles, which is a shame because I think it could have been a really strong aspect of the game.

Despite my criticisms, I still had fun playing Finding Redpanda, it's just not a game that I would play for hours on end. It's more of a casual experience, something you can pick up and play for a bit when you've got some downtime. I think that's where the game shines, it's not trying to be this huge, complex experience, it's just a simple, cute game that you can enjoy in short bursts. If you're looking for a relaxing puzzle game to play, then Finding Redpanda might be worth checking out, just don't expect it to blow your mind or anything.

Overall, I'd say that Finding Redpanda is an okay game, it's not bad by any means, but it's not particularly memorable either. If you're a fan of puzzle games, you might enjoy it, but if you're looking for something with a bit more depth, then you might want to look elsewhere. I'm glad I played it, but I don't think I'll be going back to it anytime soon, it's just not a game that really stuck with me.
