Obby Tower Review & Gameplay Guide

I just spent the last few hours playing Obby Tower and I've got to say, it's a real mixed bag. I mean, I went in expecting a super casual, easy-going experience, and for the most part, that's exactly what I got. The game is all about climbing a never-ending tower, avoiding obstacles and collecting power-ups as you go. It's simple, but it's also kind of addictive. I found myself getting sucked in and trying to beat my high score over and over again.

The problem is, the game can get really repetitive. I mean, you're basically doing the same thing every time you play - climbing the tower, avoiding obstacles. It's not like there are a ton of different levels or modes to mix things up. And the power-ups, while cool at first, start to feel like more of a hindrance than a help after a while. I mean, I'd be cruising along, doing great, and then I'd get a power-up that would suddenly make my character move all slow and clumsy. It was frustrating, to say the least.

But despite all that, I still had a pretty good time playing Obby Tower. The game's got a certain charm to it, and the graphics are actually pretty nice. The tower itself is really well-designed, with all these crazy obstacles and challenges to overcome. And the sense of satisfaction you get from making it to the next level is really great. I just wish there was more to the game, you know? Like, some kind of storyline or characters to care about. As it stands, it's just a bunch of random levels strung together.

One thing that really bugged me, though, was the ads. I mean, I get it, the game is free and the developers need to make money somehow. But come on, do the ads really need to be so intrusive? I'd be right in the middle of a level, and suddenly this huge ad would pop up and I'd die. It was so frustrating. And the worst part is, you can't even pay to get rid of them. I'd happily shell out a few bucks to play the game ad-free, but that's just not an option.

Overall, I'd say Obby Tower is a solid, if unspectacular game. If you're looking for something to kill a few minutes, it's definitely worth checking out. But if you're looking for a game with a lot of depth or replay value, you might want to look elsewhere. I mean, I've played games like this before, and I'll probably play more like it in the future. But Obby Tower is just kind of... there. It's not bad, but it's not particularly good either. It just exists, and that's about it.

I'm not sure if I'll keep playing Obby Tower or not. I mean, I might pick it up again sometime and try to beat my high score, but I don't see myself getting super invested in it or anything. It's just a casual game, you know? And that's okay. Sometimes it's nice to just play something mindless and easy, without having to worry about a big complicated storyline or complex gameplay mechanics. So if you're in the mood for something like that, Obby Tower might be the game for you. Just be prepared for some annoying ads and a healthy dose of repetition.
