I just spent the last few days playing Thronehold Kids, and I've got to say, it's been a bit of a mixed bag for me. I went into it expecting a super lighthearted, family-friendly RPG, and for the most part, that's what I got. The game's got a really cute art style, with these adorable little characters and environments that are just begging to be explored. The story's pretty straightforward, with you playing as a kid who's trying to save the world from some evil force or another, but it's not like it's trying to be super complex or anything.

One thing that really stood out to me was the combat system. It's turn-based, which is fine, but it feels like it's been dumbed down a bit too much for my taste. I mean, I get that the game is supposed to be kid-friendly, but come on, I want a little bit of challenge, you know? It's just too easy to steamroll through most of the battles, and that gets boring after a while. That being said, I do like the way the game incorporates these little mini-games into the combat, like puzzles and stuff. It adds a bit of variety to the battles, and it's actually kind of fun.

But despite the simplistic combat, I did find myself getting pretty invested in the game's world and characters. The writing's actually pretty good, and the characters all have these distinct personalities that make them feel pretty relatable. I especially loved the little side quests and stuff, where you get to learn more about the different characters and their motivations. It's clear that the devs put a lot of heart into this game, and it shows. I just wish they'd put a bit more effort into making the combat more interesting, you know?

I also have to mention that the game's got some pretty annoying technical issues. I played it on my PC, and I encountered a bunch of little bugs and glitches that just made the experience a bit frustrating at times. Like, sometimes the game would freeze up on me, or the audio would get all wonky. It's not game-breaking or anything, but it's just annoying, you know? I'm hoping the devs will patch these issues out soon, because it's really the only thing holding the game back from being a solid 8 or 9 out of 10.

Overall, I'd say Thronehold Kids is a solid, if unremarkable, RPG. It's not going to blow your mind or anything, but it's a fun, lighthearted experience that's perfect for kids or just people looking for something a bit more casual. Just be aware of those technical issues, and maybe wait for a patch or two before picking it up. And hey, even with its flaws, I still found myself having a pretty good time with it. It's just one of those games that's hard to get really angry at, you know? It's like that one friend who's always trying to make you feel better, even if they're not the most competent person in the world.

I guess what I'm saying is, if you're in the market for a game like this, you could definitely do worse than Thronehold Kids. It's not the best game I've ever played, but it's got its charms, and it's definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of RPGs or just looking for something a bit more family-friendly. Just don't expect it to blow your mind or anything, and you'll be golden. And who knows, maybe the devs will take some of the feedback from players and patch the game up to make it even better. Stranger things have happened, right?
