I just spent the last week playing Destructive Merger and I have to say, it's been a wild ride. I'd seen some videos and streams of the game before I picked it up, but nothing could have really prepared me for the chaos that this game brings to the table. The gameplay is all about merging different cells together to create these insane, destructive monsters that just wreak havoc on the map. It sounds simple, but trust me, it gets complicated fast.

At first, I was a bit turned off by the graphics - they're not the most polished, and some of the textures can look a bit rough. But once I started playing, I totally forgot about all that. The gameplay is just so engaging, and the sound design is actually really good. The music is this crazy, pulsing electronic stuff that gets you pumped up and ready to destroy some stuff. And the sound effects - oh man, the sound effects are just amazing. The way the cells smash together and the monsters roar to life is just so satisfying.

Now, I know some people are going to complain about the difficulty curve in this game. It can get pretty tough, especially in the later levels. But I think that's part of the fun. You really have to think strategically about which cells to merge and when, and it's a great feeling when you finally figure out the right combination to take down a tough level. That being said, I do wish there was a bit more variety in the level design. Some of the levels start to feel a bit samey after a while, and it would be great to see some more innovative stuff in that department.

One thing that really surprised me about Destructive Merger was the depth of the upgrades system. You can collect all these different power-ups and upgrades that let you customize your cells and monsters in some really cool ways. It adds a whole extra layer of strategy to the game, because you have to think about how to use your upgrades to get the most out of your cells. And the best part is, the upgrades don't feel like they're just handed to you on a silver platter - you really have to work for them, which makes it feel all the more rewarding when you finally get that one upgrade you've been grinding for.

I've also been playing Destructive Merger with some friends, and I have to say, it's a total blast in multiplayer mode. We'll spend hours just competing to see who can create the most destructive monster, and it's hilarious to watch each other's creations just tear the map apart. The multiplayer mode is definitely where the game shines, and I wish there were more modes like that. Maybe a co-op mode where you and your friends have to work together to take down a tough level - that would be amazing.

Overall, I'm really glad I picked up Destructive Merger. It's not perfect, and it's definitely not for everyone - but if you're looking for a game that's just pure, unadulterated fun, then this is the game for you. It's a great way to pass the time, and it's definitely a game that I'll be coming back to again and again. So if you're on the fence, I'd say give it a shot - you never know, you might just find your new favorite game.
