I just spent the last weekend playing Squard Shooter and I'm still trying to process my thoughts about it. I went into this game with pretty low expectations, I mean the title doesn't exactly scream "deep, complex gameplay" but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The game is basically a top-down shooter where you control a character who's trying to blast their way through hordes of enemies, it's not exactly original but it's done well.

One of the things that really stood out to me was the art style, it's got this really cool retro vibe that reminded me of old arcade games. The graphics are simple but they're also really charming, and the soundtrack is catchy and upbeat. The sound effects are also worth mentioning, the guns all sound really satisfying and the explosions are nice and loud. It's not a game that's going to win any awards for its graphics or sound design, but it's all really well done and it adds to the overall feel of the game.

The gameplay is where Squard Shooter really shines, it's fast-paced and action-packed, with a ton of different enemies and levels to fight your way through. One thing that I was a bit disappointed by was the lack of a multiplayer mode. I think a game like this would be perfect for playing with friends, competing to see who can get the highest score or working together to take down tough enemies. It's not a huge deal, but it would've added a lot of replay value to the game. As it is, once you've played through the campaign, there's not a whole lot to do, unless you're trying to get a high score or complete some of the challenges.

Overall, I'd say that Squard Shooter is a really solid game that's worth checking out, especially if you're a fan of top-down shooters. It's not perfect, and it's not going to win any awards for originality, but it's a lot of fun and it's well-made. The art style and soundtrack are great, the gameplay is fast-paced and action-packed, and the controls are tight. If you're looking for a game to play for a few hours, I'd definitely recommend giving Squard Shooter a shot. Just don't expect it to keep you occupied for weeks or anything, it's a relatively short game and there's not a ton of replay value.
